Global Solar Center is seeking candidates for a solar power customer service position. Candidates will be trained in various solar technologies and will be responsible for walking customers through the world of solar energy.
The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, creative and flexible. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and experience or familiarity with sales or customer service. Experience with solar power is a plus, but is not necessary. Most importantly, the candidate must be passionate about green energy and sustainable growth.
Experience and Qualifications:
• Candidates must have a BA from a top tier University.
• Entrepreneurial, creative, flexible; able to work both independently and in teams.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential to success in this position.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; collegial; energetic; able to communicate complex concepts to customers in simple terms.
Additional Requirements:
This position will require around 30 hours a week of work with the possibility of increasing the hours with experience. Candidates must be able to come in to work every day at our midtown office.
Compensation:
In addition to an in-depth understanding of solar power, the successful candidate will earn an hourly rate as well as commission from all successful sales. The average residential solar installation is about $45,000, so there is considerable opportunity in this position.
