
Job Description
The Director of National Commercial Sales will drive, manage, and execute the Company’s commercial sales objectives. The ideal candidate will first build a world class sales team and then deliver and close on sales requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute strategy for all inside and outside commercial sales activities on a national level to meet Company’s metrics, sales objectives, and profitability goals.
• Development new markets for business growth by working in concert with the Marketing Department to establish plan for expansion and development.
• Deliver training and mentor staff to develop the team’s skills and capabilities and provide career progression.
• Ensure customer proposals, contracts, and pricing agreements are processed timely and professionally.
• Provide monthly and quarterly sales forecasts and bookings for all commercial sales pipeline/activity.
• Ensure the company maintains a positive customer experience throughout the sales process; continually improving the customer qualification process, meeting customer requirements and providing “customer-focused” solutions.
• Partner with corporate support departments to ensure internal processes are optimized to support inside and outside sales results.
Requirements:
• A minimum of ten years of sales management experience. Industry experience in renewable energy strongly preferred.
• MBA preferred but not required.
• Must have strong computer skills and know how to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and SalesForce.com.
• Collaborate with business partners through the design, engineering and final installation of commercial solar electric system.
• Must stay in the forefront of sales and customer relationship management (CRM) developments by networking with material providers and attending industry conferences in California and other states.
• Must be a strong leader, creative, resourceful, and possess strategic planning skills.
• Confident personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated abilities to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
