Osborne has an exciting opportunity to work with us at the beginning of our new Green Career Center, focusing on job placement in the emerging “green” industries market.
Responsibilities: Serve as a primary resource for participants transitioning into the workforce, and ensure that participants succeed in their careers. Assist clients in their career growth by training, ongoing support, counseling and mentoring of participants in the pre- and post-employment phases of service provision. Assist participants to assimilate into the workforce and develop professional behaviors conducive to personal and professional growth. Support clients by participating in the development of an employment service plan. Conduct client interviews and administer vocational assessments to assess job readiness and skill level and make initial recommendations to actualize work assignment goals.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Public Administration preferred and 2-4 years of vocational/ case management experience or the equivalent combina¬tion of education and experience.
Related Skills or Knowledge: Good writing skills required. Some customer service and job readiness experience preferred. Experience with standardized evaluation tests, e.g., T.A.B.E., E.R.A.T., or other vocational assessment tools. Experience in workforce development and criminal justice is strongly preferred. Prior training experience is helpful. Strong computer skills required and knowledge of MS Office. Computer skills with proficiency in MS Office and the Internet. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
