Senior Hardware Engineer

Clearance:
Minimum Security Clearance Requirement: US Citizenship Required – Clearable to Secret (S)/DOE L
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Plan Major server and system administration projects
· Research and provide solutions to complex technical issues
· Provide integrated solutions using: Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Operating systems, server platforms, VMWare, and Microsoft Exchange Server
· Provide Tier III level support for end user technical issues
· Perform analysis of complex system issues and provides corrective action
· Load and configure Microsoft Windows OS and server platforms
· Review and monitor system logs
· Identify system deficiencies and makes corrective changes
· Oversees data storage and backup capability using tape, SAN, and NAS solutions
· Patch and update Microsoft Windows OS and server platform
· Ensures servers are in compliance with DoD IA requirements, updates servers that are not in compliance
· Implement network user accounts in accordance with standard DoD IG procedures.
· Implement user network shares, permissions, and quotas.
· Implement user mailboxes, public folders, and distribution lists.
· Implement Active Directory, policies, and objects.
· Implement network printers, and scanners.
· Assist with the development, testing, updating and deployment of computer images.
· Assist with the management of software deployment systems, and with the packaging, testing, and deployment of software and security updates to client computers.
· Provides follow-up service to end-users to ensure that service provided by the Technical Support Center has addressed their needs in a timely and efficient manner.
· Assist in the research, evaluation, testing, selection, procurement, implementation and maintenance of new software/hardware/systems.
· Document system configurations and develop and/or update standard operating procedures and training materials.
· In depth knowledge of the following operating systems, software, and systems: VMWare, SharePoint, Citrix, Microsoft Windows OS and server platforms, Microsoft Office 2003 (or later), Adobe Professional, DoD Common Access Card, DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Virtual Private Network (VPN).
· Good oral and written communication skills
Qualifications:
· Required IAT level II certification - Per DoDD 8570.1
· Required Secret Clearance
· BS/BA in related field strongly desired
· 7 or more years experience required
· Provide weekly, monthly and escort reports to include task completed, project status and summary reports.
